Dennis turned 35 on Friday. We had a wonderful date night to celebrate. I think we may have had our favorite meal in Richmond thus far and have found a new favorite Richmond restaurant, Juleps.
Evan's preschool teacher babysat for us and all the boys were wonderful for her, which is always nice to hear. We were nervous about how Logan would be for her because he has his first ear infection and also conjunctivitis. She must have a magic touch though, because he stopped crying before we ever pulled out of the driveway.
Today, Evan finally woke up without a fever. So, I thought he was okay to go to the two birthday parties he had today. Unfortunately, 20 minutes in to the first party he got very tired and wanted to go home. He didn't even touch the cake. So, we ended up doing a last minute cancel for the second party. He went home and slept for three hours.
I was actually looking forward to the second party because it was a dance class. Growing up I always danced so, I was looking forward to living vicariously through my future daughter and putting her in dance classes. Well, since I was blessed with 3 boys instead, who have no interest (at least thus far) in dancing, I figured this might be my one and only chance to get one of my boys in a dance studio. When we opened the invitation Evan said, "I am not dancing", so he probably wouldn't have participated anyway.
Well, I better go and spend time with Dennis, he isn't getting any younger you know....
