Welcome to my crazy life! As a mommy to 3 adorable boys my days are full of adventure and fun. I am realizing that time goes by so quickly and I don't want to forget all the cute things that the boys say and do. I hope that this blog will serve as a journal to record all those precious moments...

A Perfect Day? Not So Much...

I have been eagerly awaiting this day all week....almost 70 degree weather!  Unfortunately, because Logan naps from 8:45-11:15 and 1:45-4:30ish.  And Evan naps 12:30-3.  I really don't have much time to get out and do anything between lunch and afternoon naps.  Luckily, we managed to squeeze in a half hour outside.  It could not have been a more beautiful day!  We also managed to squeeze in another half hour outside after Colin got home.  They were thrilled to be outside.

Evan and I had a lot of fun playing games today.  We played Snap, Go Fish and Domino's (3x) and he won every time.  He took me completely by surprise, I am still not sure how that happened, I guess he is growing up!

Now, if I ended the blog with just that I would be completely giving the impression that the day was all rainbows.  Nope, Evan woke up this am at 6 am, Logan at 5:30 am, and Colin at 6:15 am, which means I started the day in a horrible mood.  I thought at least Evan would take a good nap.  But, after he had been upstairs for 1 1/2 hrs I went to check on him and the door to his room was wide open, but there was no Evan.  So, I looked in the usual places, the bathroom and our bedroom, and he wasn't there.  Then I noticed Colin's door was closed so I opened it and sure enough Evan was sitting on Colin's bed staring at the clock.  So, I said sternly "What are you doing, you are supposed to be in bed taking a nap?".  He looked at me like I was crazy and said "Well, I was being quiet.".  That boy really could care less when we are mad at him.

He got worse as the day went a long.  He just was not listening well and was smiling when we yelled at him, so he got sent to bed early.  Some days he truly is the easiest, most laid back kid in the world.  But, he can also be so difficult sometimes.

Now, in Evan's defense, I know a lot of my stories are about him, but it is only because he is at an age that gives me a lot of material.  Colin had his moments too when he was 3 years old and I am sure when Logan is 3 he will give me lots of stories too (though I can still hope he will be a perfect angel).
