Tuesday, I got to join them for breakfast at the school before school to celebrate Mother's Day. There was an activity there where the boys could fill out about their future. Colin said he was going to be a professional football player who makes 10, 000 a year and he will buy his Mom a new dress with the money! Evan said he will be a baseball player making 1, 000,000 and will buy me a ring. So cute!
Wednesday, Dennis and I went to Colin's class in the morning for their Young Author's Day. They were able to share their end of year books they wrote and illustrated. Then, the kids put on plays for the parents.
Today, I got to go to Colin's class music program. It was really sweet to see the kids sing, especially when they sang one of my favorite songs of all time, Amazing Grace! I was impressed with how focused the kids were through the whole performance. The parents were able to join in at the end and did a folk dance with the kids. The funniest part was that Colin has a Colts football players daughter in his class. The Dad did the dance and was singing along. He had a really loud deep voice and was so huge compared to all the 2nd graders, it was really cute.
Colin also had a field trip this week. I wish I could volunteer but, with Leah home I am unable to help out with their classes now. So, I was happy to get to go to all these other activities with them. It has been a busy, but really fun week!
