Soccer Monday

I thought the first blog should be on some significant day, but it probably makes more sense that today was just a typical day for the McLaughlins.  The day started off great.  I was making breakfast for the boys when Evan came up to me, gave me a hug, and said "Me like you Mommy, because you have pretty stuff".  Not sure where that came from, but I like you too Evan, very much!

This evening we had both the older boys soccer practices.  I requested them to have practice at the same time, but instead got stuck with back to back practices.  It makes for a very, very long night.  Luckily, Dennis was able to pick Evan and Logan up after Evan's practice leaving me with just Colin for the second hour.  I am very happy that both boys LOVE to play.  They are so excited for every practice and game and would play the whole time if they were allowed to.  Today Evan got so excited about me taking pictures of him that he literally stopped in front of the goal and told me to get my camera, then waited 2 minutes until I came on to the field and took a picture of him scoring a goal...crazy boy!  Both boys love to score and count how many times they scored.  Not sure where they got this competitive nature from, definetly not from me!
